गणित एक अभ्यास का विषय है और थोड़ा दिमाग की कसरत भी हो जाती है. इसलिए विद्यार्थियों के साथ साथ जन साधारण को भी अंकगणित के प्रश्नों को हल करने का प्रयास करते रहना चाहिए । जैसे अगर कोई आप से कहे की नीचे दिया गए गुणा को हल करे 125 x 64 = यदि आप थोड़ा बहुत गणित के प्रश्नों को हल करने की कोशिश करते है तो आप इसको तुंरत कर सकते है । 1000 का 8 वा हिस्सा है 125 (250 चौथाई है 1000 का और 125 आधा है 250) तो इसको सीधा नीचे की तरह बदल ले 125 x 64 = 1000 x 8 (यानी की पहली संख्या को 8 गुना कर दिया और दूसरी को 1/8 गुना) 1000 x 8 = 8000 उत्तर हो गया । तो इस तरह आपको अपनी दिमाग को लगातार पैना करना सीख जायेंगे जैसे कोई योधा अपने तलवार को सदैव पैना रखता है और जैसे ही उसपर वर हुआ वैसे ही उसका पलटवार हो जायेगा उसी तरह आप भी प्रश्नों को हल करना सीख जायेंगे ।
